Each holiday season up to 220 Driver Reviver Sites open right across Australia. Driver Reviver is a community program operated by volunteers from a wide range of Service organisations and community groups, whose members give up their own time to help reduce the road toll. The Michelago Region Community Association, in conjunction with Colinton Rural Fire Brigade, commenced operations in 2012 at the Colinton Rest Area, approximately 15km south of Michelago. We run our operation during the peak times of Easter, other public holidays and on weekends during the snow season. Driver Reviver Sites are an ideal place to take a break on a long journey. We offer a free cup of Bushells tea, coffee, an Arnott’s biscuit, or simply a place to stop and chat with our friendly volunteers before continuing safely on your journey. Plan trips so that you will stop at least every 2 hours; 15 minutes is a good break. Get out of the car breathe fresh air have some light refreshments, walk around, do something interesting. Share the driving, and give your relief driver confidence. Support our Michelago/Colinton Driver Reviver on Facebook and Twitter.
